Come and visit one of the most significant defence works of the Maginot line : "The lime kiln work" in Lembach. This underground colossus is very impressing by his size and by his history. Going through the endless galleries the visitor imagines and lives again the moments past in the work by nearly 600 soldiers. Hidden, they were preparing a confrontation with the Germans. Symbol of greatness but of defeat and bitterness too, the work reflects all its ambiguousness. "The lime kiln" is today above all a fascinating place which is opportune to discover alone or with the family.
