B. Autarchy

The work was self sufficient so as every equipment was available. The kitchen, for example, was outstandingly, equipped with up to date supplies i.e. electric coffee machines. The troopers were served ¼ litre of wine with the meals. When sick, a soldier was taken care of in the first-aid room or in house surgery block.

A mortuary was also arranged. The multi-purpose room could turn into a conference room, a cinema or a chapel whatever entertainment or meditation was requested, lighting up a rather monotonous daily trooper life.
